Strong starting pitching by Serbando Avila and Javier Neave allowed the Cimarron River Rattler 13-year-olds to sweep a double header from Guymon Monday at the Liberal Baseball Complex.

“These guys have had success over the past couple of years,” coach Bob Arnold said. “They know how to play.”

Cimarron River won Game 1 14-5 and Game 2 9-5.

Serbando Avila started Game 1 and threw two-and-a-third innings, striking out three and giving up two hits., Kaiden Bigham and Silman Pando finished up and spread out five strikeouts and two hits.

Javier Neave was 3-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Deladrious Green went 2-2 including a three-run triple and cored three times.

Cole Evans had a double and an RBI.

In Game 2, Neave pitched two-and-two-thirds and gave up four singles while striking out two.

Green came in a pitched two-and-a-third, and only gave up one hit and no earned runs.

Neave, Pando and Green all had two hits and one RBI each.

The Rattlers are 13-3 including league and tournament games combined.

Cimarron River will host Turpin at 6 p.m. Friday.
