Guymon man dies in roll-over PDF Print E-mail

This 2002 Honda Odyssey sits in the southbound ditch around 2:30 p.m. Thursday after rolling twice when the right rear tire blew out, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. One of the three passengers, 21-year-old Juan Gutierrez of Guymon, Okla., died from injuries suffered in the accident. The driver, Fidelino Castro, 28, was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County and treated and released. Another passenger, Carlos Morales, 25, was taken to Southwest Medical Center and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition. The third passenger, Orlando Morales, 33, was also treated and released from Southwest Medical Center. All four men were from Guymon. Both Gutierrez and Carlos Morales were ejected from the left rear window of the van, according to the report. Only the driver was wearing a seat belt. L&T photo/Robert Pierce
