This black 2002 Ford Ranger pickup, according to Liberal Police Capt. Pat McClurg, drove over the back wheel of this 2001 Yamaha motorcycle at 11:23 a.m. Wednesday when the bike “slowed or stopped” at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Second Street. The bike was trapped in its upright position, thus protecting its 24-year-old male rider from injury. McClurg said the 57 year-old man driving the pickup was cited for inattentive driving.
