Valcilio Alvarado, 49, of Sublette, was arrested on April 3 in Seward County on several counts related to the rape of a female child born in 1997.
Seward County District Attorney Don Scott said Alvarado faced a judge on April 4 in Seward County District Court for his first appearance. He was charged with level one rape, level three indecent liberties with a child, level five indecent liberties with a child, level three kidnapping and level nine criminal threat.
Scott said although Alvarado was scheduled for an April 12 scheduling hearing, it has been continued until 1 p.m. on May 3.
Alvarado is currently being detained in the Seward County Jail on a $1-million bond.
